PATIALA: "Punjabi University is committed to provide all kind of financial assistance for research-oriented activities to raise the standards of research at university level" said Dr Jaspal Singh, vice-chancellor, Punjabi University while inaugurating the one-day symposium which was organised by the Department of Physiotherapy, Punjabi University, Patiala on "Research in Physiotherapy" at the Senate Hall of the university, here today.
While encouraging the young researchers to go ahead with quality research in all fields, he hoped that physiotherapy has a bright future and the students and researches of this subject can contribute a lot towards the welfare of humanity.
Dr Surya Kant Sharma, deputy director, National Institute of Malaria Research was the chief guest on this occasion.
Earlier Dr N K Multani gave an introduction to the chief guest and resource persons.
Dr Narkeesh Arumugum said that recent research in physiotherapy would be discussed threadbare in the technical sessions of this seminar.
Dr Savita Ravindra, HoD, M.S. Ramaiah Meidical College & Hosptital, Banglore and Dr. Narasimman Swaminathan, HoD, Father Muller Medical College & Hospital, Manglore participated in the seminar as resource persons.
Vice-chancellor also honoured the visiting dignitaries.
